Set a floor. Buyers bid above it every 15 minutes. You do nothing.

Inside a 15-minute block

The market runs in quarter-hour blocks, all day, every day. This is one of them.

  1. 00:00

    Measure

    The gateway reads your inverter or battery once a second and works out what you will not use in the next 15 minutes.

  2. 00:05

    List

    That surplus goes on the board at your floor price. Nothing below the floor is ever offered.

  3. 00:05 – 14:30

    Auction

    Utilities, businesses and neighbours bid above your floor. Highest bid wins the block. You do nothing.

  4. 15:00

    Settle

    The block clears. Your sale is logged with the buyer, the kWh and the price, and shows up in your feed.

  5. Friday

    Payout

    Every settled block from the week is added up, the 6% fee comes off, and the rest lands in your bank.
